By the name of the famous lutist of the Cremona school, an ensemble of experience and solutions – both esthetic and technical from the Sonus faber take their shape in a brand new project.
futura Amati: the first step in this new and exciting direction, towards the revolution of sound.

First, a restyling of a famous and worldwide appreciated collection. Second, a creation that gives a deep sense to the great R&D effort that has been invested in “the Sonus faber”. futura Amati is not to be considered an “isolated episode” but a capital of know-how and culture serving the best possible reproduction of music at every level.

The “Exo-Squeleton” clamp is implemented by the 2 CNC machined avional nickel-plated end-covers on the top and on the bottom of the cabinet, together with two dual avional rear “wings”, that absorbe, convey and delete spurious vibrations from the cabinet. For a musical reproduction in the deepest silence also innovations from the Sonus faber have been used: the L.V.T. Syste, (Low Vibration Transmission), the Stealth Reflex System and the T.M.D. (Tuned Mass Damper).

If you prefer more frontal ‘slam’ for movie special effects and a system that generally plays louder, the T205 system substitutes a pair of the larger T301 speakers for the front satellite and centre channel speakers.

For drama as well as music, even in larger loft-like spaces, it has the power to keep everyone in the room on the edge of their seat.

For the full cinema-like experience, the ultimate T Series system has the best of everything: T301s all round, supported by the same discreet high performance subwoofer. However big your living area, it envelopes you in an expansive, richly textured sound picture that brings a movie to life as you’ve never experienced before.

Following the successful introduction of the Reference 610T, it is time for a more affordable, compact amplifier to fill the void left by the discontinuation of the VTM200 and REF300MKII. We are pleased to announce the introduction of the new Reference 210 monoblock, a product which will allow a greater number of music lovers access to the Reference series of amplifiers.

The Reference 210 presents a familiar yet distinctive appearance. The chassis is enclosed, with a thick front panel the same height and width as the VT100/VTM200, but with a vacuum-flourescent display screen like the one featured on the REF3 and REF610T. The chassis is 19.5" deep (plus handles) and has an internal frame like the 150M, with a one-piece ventilated cover that wraps around the top and sides. The front panel is available in Natural or Black finishes.

The vacuum-flourescent display has the same functions as the display on the REF610T, but they are addressable only through the handheld remote control. Functions include the choice of six levels of illumination, plus off; bias measurements for each output tube; A.C. line voltage; logarithmic, scalable power output (0-10, 0-50, 0-100, 0-200 watts); and total hours of tube use.

Featuring many of KEF’s latest innovations in premium hi-fi and home theatre loudspeaker technology, the all-new R Series makes genuine audiophile standards of entertainment more affordable than ever before.
